Any Beck fan would agree that Odelay and Mellow Gold are classic albums, but I think that anyone who can appreciate those should more than appreciate Mutations. It's a somber album, but the lyrics are complex and ridiculous - exactly what one would expect from Beck. This is my favourite Beck album - through many, many years of being a fan. Song "Bottle of Blues" I just found me a bottle of blues. Some strange comfort for a soul to soothe.. Ain't it hard Ain't it hard To want somebody who doesn't want you? And I've been waiting for a year, and a day Some strange weather must be blowing my way..
