Did you know that, for a minimal fee, Joan will come and play at your kids birthday party? It's true. Not minimal enough for her to play at MY kids birthday party, but, you know, maybe someday. This covers album is a good time. She covers killer songs. JOAN can rock anytime she wants, she wails on her guitar, she belts on her sweet and nasty pipes, shes been doing it since she was sixteen. As long as the material is there, than it will ROCK! SO, in 1990, when her album sales had plummeted, she put together this album, called it THE HIT LIST, maybe to trick fans into thinking it was a greatest hits or something, and blew some of us rock and roll boys away, (even though some of us were only six years old at the time.) The covers include AC/DC's Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, which is one of my favorite rockers anyway. Joan Jett has a sexy edge over Bon Scott if nothing else... she can be MY backdoor man. Also a nice rendition of Tommy James' CRIMSON AND CLOVER, in a more heartfelt JETT swooner, on the other end of the map. ANYWAY... solid rock all over this piece. Whether you recognize the songs or not. I'm not gonna go into every one, just look at the track list and judge for yourself. She enjoys the material, and that means you know she'll make it kick ass. Cool cool stuff.
