Amazon offers The Grand Illusion (Audio CD),25 October, 1990 List price $9.98 This is the Styx Album to Own / 5 I grew up as a big fan of Styx. This is the album that got me hooked. To me it was a great rock album that just pumped up my mood from start to finish. The title track, Grand Illusion sets a tone to the album by thundering out of the gate with a great sound. It is followed by my favorite song, Fooling Yourself. I never really cared to get too deep into the lyrics. I have always been hooked by the chorus of the song that would exhort "get back on your feet, you're the one they can't beat and you know it!" I found it to be one of the best songs to help me through the challenging teen years. Other great songs on the album are Come Sail Away, Miss America and Castle Walls. Just like Destroyer is THE KISS album to own, Book of Dreams is the record to own by Steve Miller or Operation Mindcrime the album to own by Queensryche, The Grand Illusion is the record to own by Styx.
