My introduction to Quickspace. / 4
I still don't know much about this band. They make some excellent songs. The ones in particular that I'm crazy for (on this album) are 'Swisher' and 'Winona'. While both make up the quieter moments on the album, they both pack a serious emotional punch. 'Winona' in particular which builds from whispers to a climax of desperate cries (possibly for the singer's love interest, Winona). Describing the song is a bit difficult, but it's definitely a favourite of mine. Other notable songs are the opener 'Rise', and the pair of 'Docile's. The other songs are good in their own right, most of which rely on grooves that build and fade. Check these guys out. Great album.
