Damn..you guys are wrong!!! / 5
I gotta say, I think the other reviews are wrong. I don't think this band started off as a joke or parody (maybe except for the King Bee bit on SNL). I think these guys had a real love for music like this and used their status in the entertainment biz to help out some truly american music treasures.. Their cover of Soul Man being a top 10 hit in the days of disco? Steve Jordan? Duck Dunn? Steve Cropper? These guys are masters of their craft and probably would of been playing oldies reviews on the chitlin' circuit if it wasn't for Dan and John! God bless 'em! Where I agree with every other review is I think this is hands down the best Blues Brothers record...a big influence on me!!! Highly recommended!!!!
