Very few debut albums can ever be compared to this one. Stevie Ray has four of his finest songs on this album. The songs are, Love Struck Baby, Pride and Joy which is probably his signature song.. Texas Flood in my mind is his finest blues song of his career. Rude Mood is another song of note. What you have here is the master doing his thing. SRV is probably the finest blues player ever (some might argue Eric Clapton or Jimi Hendrix) We do know one thing. SRV has left his legacy for all of those who love the blues. His guitarmanship is legandary..............this is one album to savor.
